Apprenticeship: Week 6

“Failure is a bend in the road, not the end of the road. Learn from failure and keep moving forward.” – Roy T. Bennett

As I was writing the title for this I accidentally wrote week five instead of six. If that isn’t an accurate description of how my life is going then I am not sure what is.

Things I did this week…

  • Keyword research for Google Ads
  • Learned how to optimize cold email outreach sequences
  • Learned how to optimize social media posts
  • wordpress.org
  • Clio Grow & WordPress plugin
  • Cornerstone & WordPress plugin
  • Finished a book – review coming soon
  • Worked on a personal project – announcement coming soon

The bay area has decided to extend the shelter in place orders until the end of May. This means I will be having a quarantine birthday, not exactly how I thought my 18th birthday would be spent. I was envisioning more haircut, piercing, and tattoo but looks like all of that is off of the table now.

I understand the need for the orders and how it is mandatory that we all follow them. It just makes life a bit more difficult at times, but for the good of those around me, it is worth it and all good.

I have started prioritizing a lot of self-care, which means face masks, working out, reading, and zoom calls have become my best friend. Pretty much anything to distract myself from the craziness that is going on in the real world.

I know that a few states have already lifted their stay at home orders, are planning on doing so soon, or have just never put any in place. For those in those areas please stay safe and be diligent with keeping yourself as healthy as possible. Just because the orders are not in place does not mean that the virus has disappeared.
