Get Out Of The Box

“We must be free, but to have real freedom, you must be wild and free yourself.” – Bryant McGill

All too often we put ourselves into boxes. We think we decide what we are, and where our peak is and what we aren’t and we stay there.

The issue is, there is so much out there that we have yet to discover when we keep this mindset. Too often what typically happens is we let the expectations of those around us of what we should be and be doing take hold. They have a strong hold too.

We let other people control the innermost part of us with their outwardly shared opinions.

Or if we are not following the “traditional” expectations we feel the need to apologize or give reasons as to why where we are is okay. At the end of the day, you do not owe anyone an explanation about anything.

If someone is judging you for being who you are if anything is a good thing. It means that you have escaped from the box that they once put on you. It means you are surprising and innovative, a revolution can be started with that mindset.

Let your true self shine through in your day to day tasks. Do what you want to do, eat what you want to eat, wear what you want to wear. Do not waste your energy worrying about what the opinion of others is. Especially do not waste your energy correcting them.

People will judge you, they will be confused why you are in different boxes each time they see you, or maybe you’re on a trampoline instead of a box and they truly have no idea what to do with you. That is perfectly fine, it means that you have the power, not them.

Never loosen your grip of that power. Behind that power is a purpose, and if you have a purpose then you have a path. Are you going to walk on it? In the end, it is your choice, but for your sake, I really hope you do.
