“What strange creatures brothers are!” – Jane Austen
Today is the first national sibling day that I am not spending with my siblings.
For those of you that do not know, I am one of five kids, I am the second oldest. We are truly a rowdy bunch and you walk into our house always expecting the unexpected.
You never know what conversations will happen, what pastries will be baked, or who will end up coming over. In one corner a trombone will be playing and in another an intense workout. The unpredictability of the surroundings could be quite daunting and overwhelming at times but it was always exciting. There was never a dull moment, there was also never a time you could hear yourself think.
I do miss them sometimes though, you never know what you are getting yourself into when you wake up. Often dragged to random events or outings. They also make all of the boring times extremely entertaining whether it be a Walgreens at 10pm, a late-night workout, or a 10+ hour-long road trip.
I am truly thankful to have them in my life, I am blessed beyond my wildest dreams to have the siblings that I do. We may have had our ups and downs but there is still an immeasurable amount of love in my heart for all of them. Including the ones that have been apart of my life for so long that I honestly do not remember a life without them.
So much love for this
