Music Monday: Rind + Seed

“Where words leave off, music begins.” – Heinrich Heine

Rind + Seed by Anju is truly close to a masterpiece. It came out in 2017 but I recently had the pleasure of discovering it.

It is has a depth to it that makes you crave it, all of it. You want more, the album is short with only four songs and eighteen minutes long. Not a single moment of it disappoints though.

It starts off with an adorable conversation between a mom and daughter (I am assuming) where the daughter recites something. Just the pure interaction between them will make your heart melt.

After that, you have Cassiopeia which is the first song I heard and what got me hooked. It is almost five and a half minutes long but it somehow goes by so fast and you find yourself restarting it over and over and over again.

The entire album is golden, her voice and the way it molds to the music. It is the closest thing to a hug one can get in the quarantine.

If you have a second I highly suggest you take some time and listen to either this album or any of her music.
