Music Mondays: Vapor

“I haven’t understood a bar of music in my life, but I have felt it.” – Igor Stravinsky

Although Vapor by The Liturgists is not necessarily an album and six years old it is a true work of art.

It consists of three different sections, a meditation, song, and centering prayer, and is just under thirty minutes long.

It is truly beautiful all the way through though, I remember the first time I listened to the meditation I got chills. Then I found out that there was a song that correlated with it and I was thrilled. Then I found the centering prayer that followed it and I was ecstatic.

For quite some time now I have kept this album almost as a secret because it has meant so much to me and has been with me through some difficult times. I think it is finally time for the world to listen to this magical album.

If you can, listen to it all the way through, it is an experience like no other.
