Who Do You Want To Be

“Always be a first rate version of yourself and not a second rate version of someone else.” – Judy Garland

I believe that we in some circumstances have a choice when it comes to who we want to be. Yes, there is the whole nature vs nurture and how trauma from your childhood impacts who you are as an adult. But, and this is a big but, they can be overcome.

If you do not like who you are you can change it.

You can be the person that greets everyone, or makes the new person feel comfortable, whatever it is that you want to do or whoever it is that you want to become you can get there.

You need to decide who you want to be, and after you have decided that you need to act on it. Before you know it you will become the person that you wanted to be.

Sometimes the person you want to become is just letting who you actually are shine a bit more, other times it is overriding the hurt and tearing down the walls that you put up for so long. No matter what it is for you, you have the power to get there.

Be brave, have courage, and be kind.
