“The world, even the smallest parts of it, is filled with things you don’t know.” – Sherman Alexie
Volume two of unsolved mysteries came out this past week and I would be lying if I said I didn’t binge-watch it all in one afternoon.
I truly love this show so much because not only is there a mystery, not only is it a documentary, but cases are getting solved from this. Netflix has an almost unmatched reach and these cold cases are reopening because people are now aware of them.
Families are getting closure, or at the very least the case is getting some much needed attention again, and there is something beautiful about that. You can see the hope in the families eyes as they are being interviewed, after being ignored for so long people are starting to listen again.
I also love that each episode is so different, it is not just your standard murder situation there are twists and turns and people acting out of character. It does not matter if you hate or love graphic stuff there is an episode for you. And who knows maybe you will be involved in solving a cold case.
