Book Review: The J.M. Barrie Ladies’ Swimming Society

“People say that life is the thing, but I prefer reading. – Logan Pearsall Smith”

Now when I say this is a fluffy book I am pretty sure that is an understatement. It is one of those books that you read already knowing the happy ending that will occur because what else would happen?

The book is about an uptight architect named Joey that gets the opportunity to oversee the restoration of the Stanway house, the house that inspired J.M. Barrie to write Peter Pan. As I am sure you can imagine the locals are not too happy about this.

But one day on her run she discovers the J.M. Barrie Ladies’ Society and things start looking up. There is friendship, fear, and obviously love as well.

If you are looking for some feel-good fluff in this insane year, this is a solid option.
