“Happy Hunger Games! And may the odds be ever in your favor.” – Suzanne Collins
I went to Texas back in March to visit a friend. While I was there I told her that the only Hunger Games movie I’d seen was the last one. This was confusing to both her and me. I watched the last one with her and she could have sworn that we watched more than one.
Despite the confusion, we decided that instead of deep cleaning her room, we’d watch all of the movies in a day. Well, ladies and gentlemen, I am proud to say we did this.
As someone that doesn’t like watching movies. I was multi-tasking the entire time and was still confused throughout the movies but nevertheless, it was a great time. The last movie made sense finally now that I had seen all of the build-up prior.
I’m not sure what I was expecting from the series. After seeing the last one I wasn’t very impressed. I tried to read my friend’s book. But the drama and hopeless feeling that is held on throughout a lot of it was not the move.
I feel like I have finally lived up to my angsty teenager goals, but I am happy that I am no longer there.
