I personally am trying to work on a lot of inner child healing. That kiddo went through a lot and did her best with what she was given.
For those of you that don’t know your inner child is the innocent part of yourself. The child within you that no matter how old you get still craves to feel nurtured and protected. Just like an actual child needs to feel safe and cared for.
Getting confrontational and in contact with your inner child can be uncomfortable, scary, and painful. But it’s important to acknowledge your personal experience in doing so.
Each person’s inner child needs to hear something different. Here are some affirmations that can potentially help you and your inner child heal.
- You are enough
- You are safe
- I see you
- You deserve to feel safe and secure in your relationships and yourself
- It’s okay to feel your emotions,
- Crying doesn’t make you weak
- You’re not alone
- You are loved, just as you are
- I hear you
- You are worthy
- Your voice matters and deserves to be heard
- It’s okay to rest
- You did your best
- You’re right on track
- It’s okay to feel angry
- You have so much potential and you can do anything you set your mind to
Give yourself what you need. What is your inner child craving to hear from you today? Childlike joy is something you shouldn’t deny yourself even if you aren’t a child anymore.
