You Cannot Hate Yourself Into A Version That You Love

“If you have the ability to love, love yourself first.” – Charles Bukowski

As someone that deals with perfectionism, imposter syndrome, and people-pleasing I tend to see the bad in myself. But I’ve realized that being negative and only seeing the bad will do nothing but hurt me. You cannot hate yourself into a version that you love.

It is so much better to recognize your flaws but not take them personally. Recognize your flaws and then create constructive action items for you to improve.

You’re doing as good as you can and it’s okay to make mistakes and have flaws. That’s nothing to be ashamed of, it’s just human. Stop hating yourself and start loving yourself and improving the areas that you want to. Hate isn’t actionable it’s depressing, create action.
