“Dear world, I am excited to be alive in you, and I am thankful for another year.” – Charlotte Eriksson
This year has been equally uneventful but very life-changing all put in a box with a ribbon on top, but I don’t think I would have had it any other way.
January
I started off the year with my first, and as of now, last semester of college, I also applied to Praxis.
February
The only thing I remember from this month is that it is when my little sister and I completed an entire 1000 piece puzzle in less than four hours. It was also the month that I got accepted into Praxis.
March
This month flew by, I was in my routine and did not move from it much. Rehearsals for shows were in full swing and I was overwhelmed by schoolwork daily.
April
Not a lot happened this month besides schoolwork and ballet. I had my last Kansas City Youth Ballet show.
May

A lot happened in May. I turned seventeen. I had my last show on the Kauffman stage. I officially left ballet and graduated from high school and I chopped off all, well most of my hair.
June
I started my first job in June and babysat my siblings a lot.
July
This was the month that I published my first blog post, and continued babysitting, a lot.
August
I flew on a plane by myself for the first time to visit my friend in Texas for her eighteenth birthday.
September

Oh gosh, module one of Praxis. What a fun time. It is so weird to see how far I have already come in such a short time since then.
October
This truly was a whirlwind of a month. I watched a few of my brother’s soccer games, completed module two of Praxis, got an aloe vera plant, filled up another journal and more.
November
Our first snow was in November, I also introduced my little sister to a lot of classic Disney movies. Thank you very much Disney+. I wrote and published a blog post every day, I even got a few of my blog posts published on third party websites.
December
Finally, we’re at December, I completed my portfolio project. I continued writing and publishing something every day.
Now we are here, it is a new year. I changed a lot last year, I would say mostly for the better. I am happier and was less burnt out than where I was last year. I am about to start placement for my apprenticeship, I could not be more excited!
