How To Take A Proper Day Off

The ability to take a proper day off is completely necessary to living a full life.

A proper day is off is something that everyone deserves, but few take. It is so crucial in today’s society especially to take time for yourself. 

A list of things to do when you have a day off

  • Take time for yourself
  • Hang out/talk with a friend you haven’t seen for a while
  • Take a shower
  • Do some yoga or meditation
  • Pamper yourself

Yes, this is titled “How To Take A Proper Day Off” but sometimes of these things can take as little time at ten to fifteen minutes. Do not let yourself get trapped in a mindset of “I need an entire day to relax.” It is tremendously hard to find the time, especially during the holiday season to take an entire day to yourself. 

One thing that has helped me out is planning it into my schedule. If you know you are going to have a hard day put it in your calendar to take fifteen minutes at night to do a facemask or some meditation. It is in these moments that you’ll find the most freedom. 

So allow yourself to be free, take some time for yourself to get to know yourself. We as humans are constantly changing. So do a favor for yourself, take a break and get to know who you are right now because you won’t be this person for much longer.
