“The beginning is always NOW.” – Roy T. Bennett
If you want to be a good writer, get writing, write every single day. No matter how bad it is, no matter if you share it or not, write. If you want to get fit, find a way to work out, do crunches while watching TV, some squats after you go to the bathroom, find an accountability buddy, the opportunities are endless.
Most of the time the biggest hurdles that we have to jump are the ones in our head. The actual reality or physical boundaries that we face are seemingly pennies that we have to jump over when looking at the mental blockades that may require dynamite to break down.
If you look at it and you turn away instantly instead of trying to tear it down then you will never get very far. The mental strength that it takes to get far is far more than the physical strength required to get fit. It is the really tough reality of life and how the biggest obstacles you face in life are the ones that people cannot see.
To truly win life you need to start, you need to see that boulder, see how far you have to go, and light that dynamite. That moment when you light the stick is the moment when you decide that you are no longer going to wait or hold yourself back. You deserve the life that you are dreaming of, no matter how far you have to go or how tall the wall is. Go for it.
