I do not talk about my religion or walk with faith on here, but I figure there is no better time to start than Easter.
So, I have been a Christian for my entire life. I grew up in the church and I find myself very lucky to have that community and that mindset with me.
Easter is truly a special day, it is the day Jesus rose from the dead. He took our sins and did the unimaginable and because of his act and selflessness we are made new.
The Easter bunny and the egg hunts and all that jazz are fun for sure, especially when you are a kid. Once you realize the true power that is behind all of the fluffy stuff you enter a whole new realm.
I invite you this Easter Sunday to watch and/or listen to a sermon. With quarantine keeping everyone cooped up it is easier than ever before to listen to a service online.
Even if you just listen to some worship music, there is an overwhelming presence of peace in peace that will cover you. Who doesn’t want peace? Particularly during these trying and scary times.
