“Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple.” – Dr. Seuss
When you look are your life are you doing the things you’re doing because you have to or want to? We get caught up in the chase and forget to take a second to stop, look at the view, and ask ourselves the important questions.
It can so easy for us to get caught up in the chase that we lose our treasured perspective. One minute you’re doing something out of love, passion, exploration. The next you’re stuck in what feels like an endless cycle of feeling like you have to.
Do not let your passion become one of the things that you have to do.
It can be easy to get overwhelmed and think you just have to push through until you reach the finish line. Instead, take a second and ask yourself why you’re in the race in the first place.
If you’re doing it because you want to, keep going.
If you’re doing it because you have to, leave the race.
If you’re unsure, stay still for a bit longer and dig a bit deeper into the questions.
There is no shame in leaving a race you don’t want to run.
