“Scared is what you’re feeling. Brave is what you’re doing.” – Emma Donoghue
This is humanity at its peak and no one can fight me on that. This is the reason I have no completely lost faith in humanity.
For those of you that do not know on today, or possibly yesterday not sure about the timezones, a man named Edmund tweeted ” I am not ok. Feeling rock bottom. Please take a few seconds to say hello if you see this tweet. Thank you.”
This simple tweet started a flood of encouraging words. From businesses, from your everyday people, from people also struggling, and more. Everyone came together for Edmund. People were sharing quotes, pictures of their adorable nieces, and about everything else under the sun.
Seeing people come together like this to support a single individual that is struggling is what humans are built for. The caring mom tendencies come out and we build each other up instead of tearing each other down.
Edmund was brave for speaking up about his struggle and it paid off, hopefully others have the same experiences when they decide it is time to be brave.
