“Believe in yourself. Under-confidence leads to a self-fulfilling prophecy that you are not good enough for your work.” – Dr. Roopleen
Having confidence in yourself is one of your greatest superpowers. I am not saying to be arrogant because Lord knows the play never ends well for those people. I am saying confidence.
The definition of confidence is: a feeling of self-assurance arising from one’s appreciation of one’s own abilities or qualities.
The definition of arrogant: having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one’s own importance or abilities.
A rather clear and firm line between the two if you ask me.
Now, arrogance leads to a disaster, but so does under-confidence. Arrogance fuels the belief that you are better but it does not make it come true. Under-confidence fuels the belief that you are worse than everyone but, sadly, unlike arrogance if you believe it it will come true.
Finding the balance and the genuine confidence in yourself can be a journey. You may need to give yourself a reality check, which can lead to either you knocking yourself off your own pedestal or rising up to where you truly belong.
Either way, finding the confidence that you deserve to is a journey worth taking.
