Past Versions of Yourself

“Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.” – Aristotle

People grow, and people change. People make mistakes, and people learn.

Those around you have seen different versions of you as you tried to find yourself. If they can love all of the different versions of you then you can too.

Do not convince yourself that those past versions are worthless. You would not be here without them. Be gentle and kind to the yous that you have outgrown.

Do not beat yourself up over the mistakes and messes you made, you did not know any better. You did the best you could with what you knew at the time. You build the foundation for who you are now.

Thank them, then keep on growing.
