Nostalgia

“It is strange how we hold on to the pieces of the past while we wait for our futures.” – Ally Condie

Hear me out, nostalgia is a liar, our memories are biased.

You are growing and that is beautiful and it is okay.

It is okay to miss something or someone that you no longer want, but it is not okay to hold onto that.

You have to let it go, thank it for what it brought you, taught you, and helped you through and then wave goodbye.

Life is how it is not how it was.
