“Toxic people attach themselves like cinder blocks tied to your ankles, and then invite you for a swim in their poisoned waters.” – John Mark Green
This is a friendly reminder that we all have the ability to be toxic, we are all flawed so it is all within us.
Every single human being on this planet is capable of being, has been, or currently is toxic. Do not think that you are above others when it comes to that. Sometimes we can even be toxic in some relationships while not being toxic in others.
The main difference here is some people have the desire to be educated on their behavior, they are motivated to do better and to change the toxic behavior that they are exhibiting.
While others ignore accountability and continue to act the same way. It is important to pay attention to both yourself and those around you to find out if you are being toxic and if there is anyone nearby that is toxic.
If someone is stuck in their ways are refuses to apologize or be held accountable for their actions you cannot try and change them because they won’t.
There can be a big fear of leaving someone, but at a certain point you have to do what is best for you. Just remember we can all be toxic.
