Road Trips By Yourself

“The journey of life is amazingly beautiful if you take it as a fearless adventure.” – Debasish Mridha

I have been on a lot of road trips recently, the majority of them have been by myself. There is something rather empowering about going on them too. And as someone that hates driving, I find it extremely ironic that I have been driving a tremendous amount.

Getting in your car by yourself knowing that you’re going somewhere, somewhere different is such a good feeling. Getting out of where you are, having the freedom to make independent decisions, and doing whatever it is that you want.

Whenever I go on them I always bring the proper items to make sure I’m safe and all is good. Including pepper spray, fit-a-flat, snacks, cash, and cannot forget about my weighted blanket.

Although gas prices have been rising, which I don’t appreciate, it’s still cheaper than flying. Plus, I can bring my weighted blanket so it is more or less a must. This past road trip I’ve taken was the first time I had someone else in the car with me while I was driving. I’m not entirely sure which one I liked more but no matter what nothing can beat the freeing feeling that happens within a solo road trip.
