“Maybe our girlfriends are our soulmates and guys are just people to have fun with.” – Candace Bushnell
For some reason, I couldn’t tell you why, me and my roommates watched this show in its entirety. If you haven’t heard of it there are three girls on an island with 24 guys. Out of the 24 guys, 12 are self-proclaimed fboys and the other 12 are nice guys. You don’t know who is who, and it’s up to the girls to decide who they want to pursue a relationship with.
It has a 38% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 4.1/10 on IMDb so clearly a winner.
In the end, the guy that the girl chooses can either split the $100,000 prize or keep it all to himself. The fboys are most likely there for the money and the nice guys are supposedly there for love.
I’m slightly embarrassed to say how entertained I was by this show, it did the most and the least all at once. There was a bromance, a breakup, a fight, a group therapy session with the fboys, and more. Genuinely what more could you ask for?
Me and my roommates have all spent too much time making fun of and referencing the show. To the point where I’m pretty sure it’s part of our personality.
