“You never change your life until you step out of your comfort zone; change begins at the end of your comfort zone.” – Roy T. Bennett
This month consisted of a lot of growing mentally and challenging myself.
A lot of what my first month of placement was mostly learning, learning how to write and film a pitch, learning how to create a value prop, learning how to find emails and send out things.
A whole bunch of learning.
The month of February, on the other hand, has been a lot of doing, researching, filming, talking, improving, etc. I made sure that every single thing I sent out was strong, that it had the wow factor that I wanted to portray.
At first, it was hard, really hard to do things in a timely manner and not spend the entire day fixated on a single project. By the end of the month, I had a whole system down, I was comfortable.
Then the interviews started coming and I got uncomfortable once again.
Throughout this month I completely changed my mindset. I went from fearing failure to the point where I did not want to do anything to chasing after it and purposefully putting myself in situations where I was uncomfortable.
I switched to this mindset because I realized that you cannot grow unless you are uncomfortable unless you are under qualified unless you make it in by just a hair. And I want to grow, not just grow but blossom so to do that I need to get moving (both mentally and physically) and get out of my comfort zone.
Big things are on the horizon. Am I fearless or am I stupid? Honestly, I am not sure, but I am about to find out.
