Don’t Write Your Title Before Your Story

“One day I will find the right words, and they will be simple.” – Jack Kerouac

We try to write our life story out, when we are asked what we want to do when we are older.

From kindergarten on we pretty much are continuously asked what our plans for our future are. There is no way to predict what your actual life is going to be though. You can try to plan as much as humanly possible. But life is going to throw some things your way that you would have no way to prepare for. A worldwide pandemic is a good example.

One of the best things that you can do for yourself is wait for yourself to go through your life. Write your full story and then and only then do you have enough information to have your title.

I know it may seem like a long time, but here is the thing. There is still so much that you can add. For instance, you can choose to start a new chapter of your life at any moment. You have that amazing power, you can choose to become a completely new person overnight.

We are in a pandemic so if you do something super drastic that you hate, no one has to see it. You currently have so much freedom to write the story that you want to write. The title should not even be something that you are worrying about at this moment.

Figure out who you are for you, and let it shine through in everything you do. Remember the only one that can be responsible for your happiness is you.
