Apprenticeship: Week 2

“Be steady and well-ordered in your life so that you can be fierce and original in your work.” – Gustave Flaubert

Who would have thought that two weeks could simultaneously fly yet crawl by? It still feels like a dream in a way, like tomorrow I will wake up and be back in Kansas. I am not sure when it will start feeling real but as of now, I’ll be living in this dream.

Things I Learned:

  • How to promote a webinar
  • HARO
  • The walking trail around me
  • Moz
  • Google Sheets
  • How much I miss Smoothie King

A few things I implemented into my life this week include a morning walk, whether it be 20 minutes or an hour just breathing in the fresh air and soaking in some vitamin D is a luxury. The other thing is little mini-workouts throughout the day to get me moving and away from a screen for a few minutes.

In other news, the shelter in place got extended until May 3rd so I will be in the area for about two months until I can actually go out. I am going to be quite excited when I actually get the opportunity though.

This past week I also became very thankful for the housing option that I picked. The family and dogs that I am living with are truly the sweetest and I am extremely grateful for them. The other night I just chilled in the living room and played with the dogs for an hour.

Anyways that is all I have for week two in San Francisco. Make sure you are staying safe and doing all you can to protect those around you!
