Tedtalks

“Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel.” – Socrates

For as long as I can remember I have been listening to TedTalks. I am not entirely sure why I started but since then I have not stopped.

I listen to them as I fall asleep. I remember there was one video in particular where it took me like a month to listen to the whole thing because his voice was so calming that I would fall asleep too fast to actually get anything out of it.

I listen to them for inspiration. There is something so inspiring about seeing someone on stage who has faced challenges, survived, and now is so open about their story. Stories are powerful and TedTalks are full of beautiful stories.

I listen to them to learn. There is so much information out there in TedTalks alone, you can learn how to draw, about eating disorders, a pandemic, magic tricks, how to speak so people listen and more. And it is all free!

I firmly believe that everyone should listen to more TedTalks because there is something for everyone and there is always more room to grow.
