Mental Health Is Necessary Not A Reward

“There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.” – John Green,

Mental health days are not a reward they are necessary. They are a necessity that are too often treated as a reward.

Take a second to think about the last time you had a genuine mental health day. One where you could do whatever you needed to do for yourself. Not a day where you caught up on all of the tasks that have been shoved to the bottom of the to-do list.

A true mental health day. A day for you and no one else.

With the world being insane and our phone buzzing 24/7 reminding us of how bad our world is. When you look at our world like that taking a step back reveals itself as a necessity and it seems insane to look at it like anything else.

Mental health is too important to be anything but our first priority. It is a reward, yes, but it is not supposed to be rare, it is supposed to be integrated into our lives.

Make it a priority and reap the benefits.
