You Are A Human

“This is good, life must continue, we are fighting barbarians, but we must remain human.” – David Benioff

Hey there,

This is a friendly reminder that you are not anxiety. You are not depression. You are not your disorder. You’re not your symptoms or your diagnosis.

You are a human. A human that’s experiencing said thing.

Please separate your identity from the anxious or whatever it is experience.

Too many times we get caught up in assuming we are anxiety and that it’s part of our personality. We assume that it’ll never subside.

What if instead, you remind yourself it’s a human experience and part of what makes you human. It isn’t something to be ashamed of.

Shift the way you speak about it. For example, instead of saying my anxiety is so intense saying the anxiety is so intense. Or instead of saying I am so anxious saying I am really feeling anxious right now.

You are human and you’re experiencing a human feeling. Instead of working to completely get rid of the feeling work on decreasing the intensity. You’re doing fantastic love.
