What You Should Stop Waiting For

“Ready for a new life” – Sylvia Plath

Often we put off taking action towards achieving our goals until we reach an imaginary starting line. We have these self-imposed milestones that keep us stuck in a state of procrastination and perfection. Where we put off doing the work that will get us closer to our goals.

So, if you’ve been putting off going after your goals here are some things you need to stop waiting for:

  • Stop waiting for someone to come save you. This isn’t a Disney princess movie where someone will come sweep you off your feet and get you out of the tower. The only one that can give you the life that you want is you.
  • Stop waiting for the perfect time. It doesn’t exist, there’s always going to be something in the way. Whether it be a commitment, responsibility, or fear,
  • Stop waiting to feel like an expert. Most experts don’t feel as if they’re experts. If you know just a little bit more than your audience then you’re ready to speak, teach, and motivate. Don’t let imposter syndrome get in the way of accomplishing what you want to.
  • Stop waiting to feel ready. If you wait until the moment that you finally feel as if you’re ready then you’re waited too long to start, You have to get in the game early, don’t look back, and build the life that you want to live.

So what are you waiting for? If you don’t need someone to save you, the perfect time, to be an expert, or feel ready then when is better than now?
